Day 22 – What I Do When I’m Home Alone

First off — let me set something straight (for the benefit of my younger son).

I often use semicolons; I know how to use them.

That was for my son, who has developed some sort of obsession with em dashes, semicolons and parentheses. He claims I don’t use them enough in my posts.

Hell, I’ll even give him a bouquet of parentheses, Salinger style:

(((((((((((((((((((((This is what you get for refusing to read Catcher in the Rye)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Ahem. Sorry about that.

Truth is, I don’t have anything brilliant to say for today’s topic. When the boys were little, I craved days at home to myself — if only just to clean (how pitiful is that)? I remember a particularly blissful weekend when my hubby took the boys with him to help his brother take a car to his nephew in Vegas. I cleaned the house ceiling to floor and watched every episode of  Pride & Prejudice.

Nowadays, I get plenty of alone time so it’s not such a big deal. And I seldom clean. Ever. I use the excuse that I clean too much at work, which is true. But really I just don’t want to clean. I do, however, still love watching girly movies by myself. So there’s that.

What do you like to do when you’re home alone?

Thanks again to Tiffany for hosting this month’s challenge!
